We are looking for an experienced People Specialist on a12 month fixed term contract to help strengthen andstabiliseHR delivery during a period oforganisationalchange.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys balancing operational delivery, managersupportand continuous improvement. You will own key employee lifecycle processes,providefirst-line HR advice, manage routine employee relations cases, improve HR processes and systems, and support managers to build confidence and capability.
Working as part of a small, collaborative team reporting to the HR Business Partnering & Operations Manager,you will help to ensure that HR servicesremainpractical,responsiveand fit for the future as NEBOSH develops its longer-term People operating model.
What you will be doing
- Owning onboarding, induction, probation, employee changes and offboarding processes,ensuringactivity isaccurate,timely,consistentand well documented.
- Partnering with the Talent AcquisitionLeadto ensure an effective handover from recruitment to employment.
- Providingpractical first-line HR advice to managers on routine employee relations matters, including performance, attendance,conductand probation.
- Coaching managers on policy application and good people management practice, and escalating complex or high-risk matters appropriately.
- Producing regular HR reports and management information toidentifytrends,risksand opportunities for improvement.
- Simplifying and improving HR systems, processes, templates,guidanceand self-service tools whilemaintaininglegal,policyand governance requirements.
- Providing day-to-day guidance to the HR Officer and helping to build quality,consistencyand capability across the team.
- Working collaboratively across HR, Talent Acquisition and Learning and Development to support People projects, change activity and continuous improvement.
About you
Our ideal candidate will bring the following experience and approach:
- Experience in an HR Advisor, Senior HR Advisor, People Advisor, HRGeneralistor similar role.
- Experienceprovidingpractical HR advice and support to managers across the employee lifecycle.
- Experience handling routine employee relations matters, including performance, conduct,absenceand probation.
- Experience owning or coordinating onboarding, employeechangesand other employee lifecycle processes.
- Experience improving HR processes,systemsor ways of working.
- Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR good practice.
- Strong communication, relationship-buildingand influencing skills.
- Ability toprioritiseeffectively, work with appropriateautonomyand exercise sound judgement.
- CIPD Level 5qualification, or equivalent professional experience.
- Confidence using HR systems, Microsoft365and digital tools, with the ability to work effectively in a changing environment.

- Experience in a regulated, education, charity,membershipor professional services environment.
- Experience using technology,automationor AI-enabled tools to improve HR delivery.
£33,000 to £37,000 per annum.
