Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work in the Bradford Multi-Agency Integrated Front Door sitting within the Children and Families Trust. The Integrated Front Door is a point of contact for members of the public or professionals who have a concern about the safety or wellbeing of a child or young person.

The aim of the Specialist Practitioner within the Integrated Front Door is to provide relevant information and health expertise in order to contribute to the multi-agency safeguarding responses to calls coming into the IFD.

Responsibilities
  • Improve multi-agency safeguarding responses and promote the welfare of children and young people through timely exchange of proportionate and accurate information.
  • Provide health expertise, information and advice to inform safeguarding multi-agency discussions and decision making.
  • Analyse health information in relation to safeguarding risk and mitigation to inform the best child/family outcomes.
  • Collate health data and intelligence to inform population needs and service delivery requirements.

This is an essential requirement of the role, and the Trust is unable to offer a role if you are unable to meet Trust requirements for sponsorship and Home Office requirements for a visa. Qualifications and Experience
  • Registered Nurse Child
  • Registered General Nurse
  • Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN), Health Visitor or School Nurse

Training Essential:

  • Evidence of continued professional development.
  • Qualifications/courses relevant to safeguarding study at degree level.

Desirable:

  • Leadership specific training

Experience Essential:

  • Significant post-qualifying experience working with children and adults.
  • Evidence of post-qualifying experience of adult and/or child safeguarding as a caseload holder.
  • Competence at working at a senior nursing level.
  • Experience of meeting organisational/operational objectives.
  • Experience of multi-agency and multidisciplinary working.
  • Experience of working with Domestic Abuse cases.
  • Experience of working in a "think family" approach.
  • Experience of reporting and escalating concerns approach.

Desirable:

  • Experience in leading change management.
