We are seeking a dynamic and motivated specialist grade doctor in Stroke Medicine for this exciting new post in the LNUWH NHS trust in our award-winning stroke service.
The appointee will be expected to contribute to delivering the service including the on call rota, departmental audit, research and undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. They will have the clinical lead as their clinical supervisor and will be professionally accountable to the Clinical Director.

THE POST
This is a 10 PA post (7.5 DCC, 2.5 SPA) for a newly created position in the Stroke Service. We are looking for someone trained in all aspects of stroke medicine as well as experience in looking after general medicine patients.
The Stroke Unit consists of a Hyperacute and Acute Stroke Unit that operates to very strict audit and quality standards. The Unit has been consistently highly rated on the SSNAP audit. We provide 24/7 thrombolysis and comprehensive rehabilitation with an early supported discharge team. Particular strengths of our service are our therapy teams and commitment to research, recruiting to studies covering all stages of stroke.
