A leading healthcare provider is seeking a full-time Specialist Grade Physician in Cardiology at their Gloucester site. The role involves providing high-quality healthcare and contributing to the surgical rota. The ideal candidate should possess significant experience in cardiology and leadership abilities. This post for a Specialist Grade Physician is a substantive post, covering both main Trust sites at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital (GRH) and Cheltenham General Hospital (CGH) with full participation in cross county activities and service planning. The contract will be held by Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (GHNHSFT). There are many, flexible opportunities for development through our annual job planning process.
This post is full-time in Cardiology with no GIM on call. The successful applicant will be expected to contribute to our Consultant of the Week (COW) rota or Primary PCI (PPCI) rota with overnight and weekend working. Although the role is advertised as full time, part time and flexible working options can also be discussed and considered. If such a person is appointed, modification of the job content will be discussed on a personal basis.
The post-holder will join 15 full-time, 2 part-time existing Consultants and an Associate Specialist to support the provision of a comprehensive cardiac service to the county of Gloucestershire.
The successful applicant will be expected to have a subspecialty interest in cardiology. Device implantation and PCI are particularly welcome.
As a senior employee of the Trust the post-holder will work in close co-operation with and support other clinical, professional and managerial colleagues in providing high quality healthcare to the Trust's patients.
