An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Band 6 Paediatric Dietitian to join our dynamic and friendly paediatric dietetic team within Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.

In this rotational role, you will provide a specialist paediatric dietetic service across both inpatient and outpatient settings, working closely with our Clinical Lead Dietitians and wider multidisciplinary teams. You will support the nutritional management of children and young people with a range of complex medical conditions, demonstrating sound clinical judgement and evidence-based practice.

Main duties of the job
  • To provide a quality Nutrition & Dietetic service to both in and outpatients within. Specialist Area in accordance with established departmental guidelines.
  • To work autonomously as a specialist within department guidelines with responsibility for clinical excellence within the specialist area and manages own workload.
  • To communicate highly complex information involving nutritional assessment and analysis and information which is sensitive to patients/carers and health professionals.
  • To provide specialist Nutrition & Dietetic input into education, training and development programmes for undergraduate and postgraduate medical, nursing and dietetic students in addition to other training requirements.
  • To contribute to the development and implementation of evidence based nutritional guidelines and service developments in the specialist area.
  • To contribute to the development, production and maintenance of evidence based departmental literature in the specific areas of nutrition (e.g. patient diet sheets).
  • To help in the collection of data and information to support service development or reconfiguration.
