A leading NHS Trust in Truro is seeking a Specialist Dietitian to join their children's eating disorder service. In this role, you will deliver high-quality assessments and interventions for children with eating disorders and related mental health issues. Candidates must have a degree in Nutrition/Dietetics, be registered as a Dietician, and possess experience in mental health services. Full-time and part-time options available with competitive salaries ranging from £38,682 to £46,580 per year.

We are excited to be able to go out to advert for a specialist eating disorders dietitian to join the children and young people's eating disorder service, based in Cornwall.

As a specialist dietitian, you will work as part of an MDT providing full assessments, formulation and evidence-based interventions to children, young people and their families, who are experiencing Eating disorders and co-morbid mental health difficulties.
You will be responsible for maintaining an individual caseload, from referral to discharge, conducting routine and high priority assessments and dietetic interventions as appropriate and exercising autonomy.
You will be liaising and providing advice, information and consultation to colleagues and other agencies as well as undertaking service governance activity, including research and audit as appropriate.
You will be expected to contribute to the screening of referrals and partaking of the Eating Disorders Duty rota.
You will join our consultant paediatricians to conduct MDT clinics for children and young people suffering with eating disorders.

To plan and deliver a high quality Nutrition and Dietetic service to this area and contribute to service development as required.
To work as a senior autonomous practitioner delivering a high quality dietetic service in Cornwall Foundation Trust.
To help to support and/or establish audit and robust evaluation of the dietetic service.
To have a high level of knowledge, skills and experience in order to approach tasks with an open and understanding mind and deal with situations in a timely and empathic manner.
To be responsible for nutrition and dietetic participation in multi-professional teams and contribute to policy making as directed by the head of service.
To work as a key member of the Multi-disciplinary Team.
To work as a key member of the Dietitians Mental Health Team within Cornwall Foundation Trust.
