We are seeking a proactive and skilled Band 6 Specialist Dietitian to join our well-established and forward‑thinking integrated Nutrition and Dietetics Service at The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust. This 0.7 WTE role until the end of March 2027 focuses on providing high‑quality inpatient dietetic care, with a particular emphasis on surgical patients. The successful candidate will contribute to this innovative model and champion it across the acute setting and beyond. The role also includes opportunities to participate in service development, clinical guideline review, audit and quality improvement initiatives within a supportive and integrated team structure. You will work alongside experienced colleagues in a service committed to professional growth, leadership development and collaborative practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated, compassionate dietitian looking to further develop their skills and knowledge in specialist inpatient care with a dynamic and progressive team.
You will provide specialist dietetic care to our inpatients, delivering advanced nutritional assessment and support across GI, colorectal, and general surgical wards. The role includes close MDT working, contributing to our innovative dietitian‑led prescribing service, and involvement in quality improvement, supervision, and service development within an integrated department.
You’ll need strong clinical skills in acute or surgical dietetics, confidence managing complex cases, and the ability to prioritise in a fast‑paced inpatient environment. Good communication, a proactive approach to professional development, and a commitment to patient‑centred care are essential.
