Job summary

A community health organization in Hertford is seeking a motivated specialist diabetes dietitian to provide dietary advice for diabetes management. The role involves working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Qualifications include a BSc in Nutrition & Dietetics, and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council. Are you an enthusiastic dietitian with an interest in working with adults with diabetes in the community?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and dynamic specialist diabetes dietitian, to join the community team in East and North Hertfordshire The role includes clinics (face to face and telephone) and group education sessions .

Hold a full, valid, UK driving licence and have access to a car to use for business purposes (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010)

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will work as part of the East and North Herts Diabetes Service.

We are committed to delivering a quality service, value staff training and CPD and have a robust appraisal and supervisory framework. Electronic records are used throughout the Trust, further aiding our ability to work across a wide variety of settings and be in a position to work as part of an MDT, yet work remotely if needed as part of a hybrid approach to our work/ life balance.

  • Attained or working towards a postgraduate qualification in diabetes as a specialist area or evidence of significant experience in a specialist area.

  • Evidence of working with patients with diabetes.
  • Evidence of CPD and commitment to life-long learning
  • Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary health care setting
  • Up to date knowledge of dietetic practice
  • IT literate
