Location: Birmingham

Pay Rate: £15.00 per hour

Shift Pattern: FLEXI MONDAY - SUNDAY, 40 hours per week

Job Purpose:

To carry out specialist cleaning tasks including window cleaning, pressure washing, high-level access cleaning, and other assigned duties. The Technical Cleaning Operative ensures all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the required standard.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out specialist cleaning tasks as instructed, including: internal and external window cleaning using traditional and water-fed pole systems, pressure washing of building exteriors, pavements, and hard surfaces, high-level cleaning using MEWPs, scaffold towers, or rope access (where qualified), deep cleaning, floor care, and post-construction cleaning
• Follow all health & safety policies, including correct use of PPE, risk assessments, and method statements.
• Report any issues, defects, or hazards to the site supervisor or manager immediately.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and tools in a safe and serviceable condition.
• Complete basic documentation such as timesheets or work logs as required.
• Work flexibly across different sites and shifts, which may include early mornings, weekends, or overnight tasks.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Previous experience in specialist cleaning, including window cleaning, pressure washing, or high-level cleaning.
• Understanding of health & safety requirements, including COSHH, working at height, and manual handling.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Flexible with working hours and locations.
• Experience operating cleaning equipment such as pressure washers, water-fed poles, and floor machines.

Desirable Qualifications (Not Essential):

• A High-Level MEWP licence IPAF / PASMA / CSCS / Confined Space certification (desirable)
• BICSc or similar industry accreditation
• Full UK Driving Licence (essential if role is mobile)
