Job summary

Spire St Anthony's Hospital in Sutton is seeking a Specialist Physiotherapist to deliver expert assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for cardiothoracic and critically ill patients within a multidisciplinary team.

You will provide specialist respiratory physiotherapy, support Level 3 ICU patients including those ventilated, and contribute to evidence-based rehabilitation programs while participating in the respiratory on-call rota.

Qualifications

• Degree in Physiotherapy with HCPC registration.
• Post-registration experience in cardiothoracic and critical care physiotherapy.
• Experience managing critically ill patients in ICU.
• Expertise in respiratory physiotherapy for complex conditions.
• Experience in difficult airway management and respiratory care.
• Strong clinical reasoning and decision-making skills.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice and high-quality patient care.
• Excellent communication and team-working abilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert physiotherapy assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for cardiothoracic and critically ill patients.
• Provide specialist respiratory interventions for complex cases.
• Support Level 3 critical care patients, including ventilated cases.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to optimise outcomes and safety.
• Assess and manage complex airway and respiratory requirements.
• Lead evidence-based rehabilitation programmes for critically ill patients.
• Participate in respiratory on-call rota and after-hours support.
