Job summary

A mental health service provider in Wigan is seeking an experienced Specialist CAMHS Practitioner. This role involves working collaboratively within a Multi Disciplinary Team to support young people's mental health through assessments, case management, and risk evaluations. The successful candidate will advocate for young people's needs, participate in training, and take on management responsibilities when senior staff are absent. Qualifications

  • Experienced CAMHS practitioner with a focus on the needs of young people.
  • Ability to work with Multi Disciplinary Teams and develop system partner relationships.
  • Experience in managing cases, conducting risk assessments, and training staff.

Are you an experienced CAMHS practitioner? Are you an excellent communicator and advocator. Are you keen to work across a wide variety of agencies and professional teams to ensure young people receive the best care therapeutic interventions and support at the right place and the right time?

Are you wanting to improve and make a real difference to young peoples mental health? Are you able to place the needs of a young people at the centre of everything you do and navigate the THRIVE partnership to ensure our young people get the right support at the right time?

If so then GMMH and Wigan CAMHS has a role for you working as part of a real Multi Disciplinary Team as one of our Specialist CAMHS Practitioners in Community CAMHS.

As a Specialist CAMHS mental health practitioner you will be working as part of the MDT.

You will have responsibility for supporting the team in triage and assessment of referrals to our service and ensuing timely and responsive access to the appropriate care pathways.

You will be responsible for the management of cases, duty, risk assessments, training and development within the team and wider THRIVE partners. Important developments of system partner relationships and building on the fantastic relationships we have in Wigan across Local Authority CVS and Wigan Family Welfare.

The role as a Specialist CAMHS Practitioner will also allow management development as the role will deputise in the absence of senior staff for the service.
