Responsibilities
- Driving the press office by managing daily proactive and reactive media relations with national and consumer press.
- Supporting the Consumer PR Manager in executing the communications strategy to secure coverage, build external links, and boost brand awareness.
- Collaborating with internal teams (SEO, Brand, Social, Content Marketing, Trading) to maximise impact across channels.
- Proactively pitching and selling‑in stories to top‑tier media outlets.
- Assisting with performance reporting and communicating results to stakeholders.
- Writing press releases, comments, and other PR materials.
- Monitoring media daily for newsjacking opportunities.
- Brainstorming creative PR ideas and reactive opportunities.
- Coordinating press photography, events, and visits.
- Working closely with AO’s agency partners.
- Building a strong understanding of the retail media landscape.
Qualifications
- PR / marketing experience in a fast‑paced environment (in‑house or agency).
- Experience working on PR campaigns for national consumer brands, with a portfolio of national coverage.
- Confidence as a communicator with a flair for storytelling and a hunger for results.
- Thrives in a fast‑paced environment and loves working collaboratively to bring ideas to life.
- Strong media relations skills and the ability to build lasting journalist relationships.
- Exceptional writing skills and a keen editorial eye.
