Job description

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough security screenings of passengers, luggage and cargo using state-of-the-art equipment
• Operate X-ray machines, metal detectors and other security devices with precision and efficiency
• Monitor CCTV systems to identify potential security threats or suspicious activities
• Implement and enforce aviation security regulations and protocols
• Respond swiftly and effectively to security incidents or emergencies
• Collaborate with various airport departments and external agencies to maintain a secure environment
• Perform passenger profiling and behavioral analysis to identify potential risks
• Maintain accurate records and prepare detailed incident reports as required
• Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on the latest security procedures and technologies

Qualifications

• Proven experience of 2-3 years in aviation security or a related field
• High school diploma or equivalent qualification
• Current security clearance
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Demonstrated ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure
• Physical fitness to meet the demands of the role including standing for extended periods and lifting heavy objects when necessary
• Flexibility to work in shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact professionally with passengers from diverse backgrounds
• Expertise in threat assessment and passenger profiling techniques

Additional Information

• You will be required to attend a mandatory 3.5 week training course abroad (location disclosed at screening) where you will receive in depth knowledge to provide you with the skills to operate as a Specialist Security Agent.
• Starting pay through basic training is £12.90 rising to £14.59 after successful completion of initial training. You will be salaried.
• Opportunities to progress with further training.
• Requirement of 163 hours per month with an opportunity for overtime if available.
• Monthly travel & meal allowance provided.

• Bank holidays paid at double time & overtime paid at time and a half.
