Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough security screenings of passengers, luggage and cargo using state-of-the-art equipment
- Operate X-ray machines, metal detectors and other security devices with precision and efficiency
- Monitor CCTV systems to identify potential security threats or suspicious activities
- Implement and enforce aviation security regulations and protocols
- Respond swiftly and effectively to security incidents or emergencies
- Collaborate with various airport departments and external agencies to maintain a secure environment
- Perform passenger profiling and behavioral analysis to identify potential risks
- Maintain accurate records and prepare detailed incident reports as required
- Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on the latest security procedures and technologies
Qualifications
- Proven experience of 2-3 years in aviation security or a related field
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification
- Current security clearance
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure
- Physical fitness to meet the demands of the role including standing for extended periods and lifting heavy objects when necessary
- Flexibility to work in shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact professionally with passengers from diverse backgrounds
- Expertise in threat assessment and passenger profiling techniques
Additional Information
- You will be required to attend a mandatory 3.5 week training course abroad (location disclosed at screening) where you will receive in depth knowledge to provide you with the skills to operate as a Specialist Security Agent.
- Starting pay through basic training is £12.90 rising to £14.59 after successful completion of initial training. You will be salaried.
- Opportunities to progress with further training.
- Requirement of 163 hours per month with an opportunity for overtime if available.
