Position Summary

This role oversees and conducts internal investigations and assists in the implementation and communication of company policies and procedures related to internal & external theft / fraud safety and security. The incumbent will also support and educate retail associates related to Shrink, Food Safety, Workplace Safety and Front-End initiatives. These individuals play leadership roles when critical incidents and workplace violence occur including taking ownership of a retail location immediately following a critical incident.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and coaching to retail in the areas of: Security, Shrink, Food Safety, Workplace Safety
  • Maintain industry-standard interviewing skills to include telephone and virtual interviewing.
  • Investigating internal and external theft / fraud
  • Case building through the collection of all necessary evidence timely and detailed documentation for all investigations
  • Establish contacts and working relationships with various law enforcement agencies, retail partners and customers while raising awareness regarding internal and external theft / fraud.
  • Represent the company in court as required and remember the importance of protecting the Brand.
  • Fulfill requests for video and transaction data for law enforcement and state agencies.
  • Knowledge of applicable federal, state and local regulations and industry best practices related to criminal charges and their applicability to internal and external cases.
  • Conduct store visits to ensure standards in the areas of physical security, shrink and cash loss with outstanding execution and consistent delivery of our strategy.
  • Trusted reliable expert who takes a leadership role when critical incidents and workplace violence occur. This includes taking ownership of a retail location immediately following a critical incident.
  • Subject matter expertise in the areas of physical security, associate safety, social engineering, de-escalation and relationships to civic partners
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned by Asset Protection Manager in support of retail.
Basic Qualification
  • Wicklander-Zulawski certificate of training.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules and respond to incidents.
Preferred Qualification
  • College Degree in related field of study or business.
  • Certified Forensic Interviewer (CFI) designation.
  • Investigations and case management.
Education
  • Bachelors Degree or related equivalent experience
Experience
  • 2 years of retail management experience.
  • 2 years of multi-unit Loss Prevention / Asset Protection experience in retail.
