A National Health Service organization in Broadstairs is seeking a qualified Band 7 Senior Specialist Nurse for its ADHD Team. The successful candidate will manage a caseload of children and adolescents with ADHD, participating in team meetings and providing evidence-based treatment. Strong oversight of co-morbid conditions and collaboration with other professionals is essential. The position will not allow remote working.
An exciting opportunity for Band 7 Senior specialist nurse to join the Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells ADHD Team
The post-holders will be qualified nurses who are fully registered with the NMC and will ideally have additional post-graduate qualifications relevant to the area of ADHD.
The post holders will be required to assess and treat patients who present with ADHD. They will be effective in assessing for ADHD and should have knowledge and understanding of co-morbid difficulties, mental illness in children and young people, and safeguarding practices.
The post holder will be expected to attend and participate in MDT team meetings as well as professionals meetings for cases on their caseload. They will be competent in working with other professionals and agencies.
We are looking for a senior clinician who will be responsible for the ADHD pathway within CYPMHS and manage a caseload to assess and provide evidence-based treatment to children and adolescents who present with ADHD.
The post holder will be based at Orchard House in Broadstairs; this post is not suitable for remote working.
The post holders will support their peers and team leader and be an effective team member while working on their own initiative. They will supervise other staff members as required and will have a commitment to collaborative working and actively supporting and liaising with other health and social professionals and agencies.
Starting with NELFT
NELFT places a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
Probationary Period
