Overview

A Vacancy at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. An opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 physiotherapist to work within the Spasticity Management & Neurodisability Service at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Band 7 physiotherapist to join the team. The post holder will work closely with the Consultant Physiotherapist as well as the wider spasticity MDT Team. This position offers the opportunity to further advance your skills in the assessment and management of patients with spasticity whilst working within a range of MDT and physiotherapy specific clinics. Effective communication and a positive approach to the management of complex disability are essential. Regular supervision and support for continued professional development is offered, and the opportunity to work with the team on current research and audit projects. There is no on-call or weekend work commitment with this role.

Responsibilities
  • Work as a Band 7 physiotherapist within the Spasticity Management & Neurodisability Service at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, collaborating with the Consultant Physiotherapist and the wider spasticity MDT.
  • Provide high-standard physiotherapy assessment, treatment and advice for patients with acute, chronic and progressive neuro-disability; contribute to the provision of a physiotherapy service within the Neurodisability and Spasticity Management Services and report directly to the Consultant in Physiotherapy.
  • Work within integrated multidisciplinary teams to offer a comprehensive, patient-centred service.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development with regular supervision; participate in current research and audit projects as part of the team.
  • Note that there is no on-call or weekend work commitment with this role.
