Job description

Overview

Our Special Situations M&A team helps companies preserve value, reduce risk and address business change through M&A transactions — often in situations of complexity, sensitivity or corporate stress. Our work spans the breadth of accelerated M&A, corporate divestment and other bespoke transactions.

As a Senior Manager, you’ll be taking day-to-day ownership of transactions, leading deal teams which typically comprise 3 - 5 people. With the support of Partners and Directors, you’ll be taking ownership of the entire deal process from shaping the strategy, interfacing with senior stakeholders at the client, producing deliverables, negotiating with prospective buyers and reviewing transactional documentation.

As you gain experience, there are opportunities to lead more complex or high-profile situations. Our team is diverse in many ways, and we actively welcome people with different backgrounds and experience, whether from corporate finance, restructuring, consulting, or industry. We operate as a single national practice, with team members in London, Birmingham and Manchester.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about learning quickly, thrives in dynamic environments, has curiosity and commercial drive, with an interest in supporting business development with openness to explore and implement new ways of working, enjoys problem solving, and is motivated by making a tangible impact for clients and their wider stakeholders.
