The Role

We are seeking a caring, patient and motivated Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers and the SENCo to support pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, social/emotional challenges, and other learning differences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 or small group support for pupils with special educational needs.
  • Assist with implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour support plans.
  • Support pupils to access the curriculum and develop independence and confidence.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure consistent support.
  • Promote inclusion and positive behaviour across the school.
About You
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs.
  • Understanding of autism, ADHD, or communication difficulties.
  • A patient, empathetic, and enthusiastic approach to supporting learning.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Relevant qualifications or personal experience.
