Job summary

Prestley Wood Academy within the Horizons Education Trust seeks Level 2 Teaching Assistants to support pupils with complex needs, including autism, within our area special school. You will assist teachers and provide targeted support across age groups, with full training available and a DBS check required.

We offer term-time hours with a pro-rata salary range, access to LGPS, induction training and an Employee Assistance Programme.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with special needs children is desirable but not essential.
• Full training and support is given.
• Understanding and use of ICT systems and home/school communication.
• Qualifications related to the field are desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching with pupils who have complex needs including autism.
• Assist class teachers and facilitate learning across age groups.
• Use ICT systems to support learning and communication with parents.
• Contribute to a positive, safe and inclusive classroom environment.
