Job summary

Resicarealliance in Northampton is looking for a committed Special Needs Assistant to support children with special educational needs in care and education settings. You will work closely with teachers and therapists while encouraging social and emotional development.

Job description

Job Title: Special Needs Assistant
Location: Northanpton
Salary: £ 13 per hour / 48 hour pw (6 x 16 hour shifts every 2 weeks)
Contract Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities
  • Support children and young people with special educational needs in both care and education settings
  • Assist with learning activities, personal care, and daily routines
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists, and care staff to implement tailored support plans
  • Encourage social, emotional, and behavioural development
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for all young people
