Hours of work: 34 hours per week
Working pattern: Part‑time, Term‑time only working for 39 weeks per year plus 6.05 weeks annual leave, which will increase after 5 years' continuous service.
As the position is part‑time, term‑time only, the above salary will be pro rata.

Position Summary

Heathfield Community College are looking for a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Manager. This is an administration support role assisting the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator (SENDCO) for the College.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will join an established team of educational staff and will work to ensure there is administration and resourcing in place to support the effective and efficient running of the department. They will work alongside the Head of Department and Lead Team to oversee the successful day‑to‑day running of the department rooms, organise staffing and timetables. The role is primarily administration‑based but candidates should have an interest in Special Educational Needs and a willingness to interact with students. There will also be opportunities for direct contact with families and other professional agencies in supporting the wider work of the department.

Qualifications / Requirements

Successful applicants will need to undertake, or currently hold, a DBS Enhanced clearance for this authority.

Other Details

In addition to the part‑time, term‑time only working pattern, there is also some holiday working. The exact working pattern is to be discussed at interview.
