Job description

Boston Speech Therapy is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for our high school program, with a pay range of $60 to $70 per hour based on experience. This position involves working closely with students who have a variety of special needs, helping them achieve their academic goals in a supportive classroom environment.

Your main responsibilities will include creating and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), providing tailored instructional strategies, and collaborating with other educators and staff to promote inclusive education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and assess student progress, adapting instruction as needed
  • Support students in developing both academic skills and social-emotional competencies
  • Work collaboratively with general educators to foster an inclusive learning environment
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about students' progress
Qualifications
  • master's degree in Special Education or related field;
  • Valid state certification in Special Education
  • Experience teaching high school students with special needs
  • Strong knowledge of behavioral and instructional strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
