Job summary

Prosper Learning Trust is seeking a committed teacher to join Harry Watts Academy on a fixed-term basis starting January 2027. You will deliver high-quality teaching to autistic pupils, align with our pathways across Sunderland’s two sites, and support diverse learners with ambitious targets.

You will be deployed primarily at Harry Watts Academy but may work at other Prosper sites as needed, benefiting from strong CPD and a values-led culture.

Qualifications

• DfE recognised teaching qualification and QTS or equivalent.
• Experience of teaching pupils with additional needs.
• High expectations of pupil achievement.

Responsibilities

• Have a strong understanding of appropriate curriculum for pupils with additional needs.
• Be aware of and apply a range of teaching and learning strategies to ensure the diverse needs of learners are met.
• Be able to manage change and be flexible to meet the needs of the school.

Skills
