Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or current enrollment in a GED program.
• Must meet Alaska paraprofessional requirements via college credits or approved assessments.
• Basic literacy in reading, writing, and math.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare instructional materials under the direction of the speech-language pathologist.
• Implement and integrate technology into speech-language sessions.
• Manage student behavior during therapy.
• Assist in developing daily/weekly schedules and travel between schools.
• Work individually, in small groups, or in the classroom with students receiving speech-language services.
• Assist with student hygiene and related duties as assigned.
• Collect and record data on therapy programs.
