Job summary

Targeted Provision Ltd. invites experienced SEND tutors and teachers in the UK to join a mission-driven team delivering maths, English, or science tuition for SEND and SEMH students.

You will provide in-person, online, or hybrid tutoring to KS1–KS5 learners, work on flexible hours, and benefit from CPD and mentoring within a supportive community.

Qualifications

• 2+ years teaching experience, ideally with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or PMLD in trauma-informed settings.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) required or equivalent.
• Enhanced DBS and 2+ professional references requested or facilitated by us.

Responsibilities

• Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition in-person, online, and hybrid for SEND/SEMH learners.
• Plan and report lessons; give regular feedback on progress.
• Support pupils from KS1 to KS5 with trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring.

SEND Tutor and Teacher role requirements:

• Experience: 2+ years teaching experience, ideally working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma‑informed way
• Subjects: Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science
• Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS)
• Compliance: Enhanced DBS (we can facilitate this if needed) and 2+ professional references
• Location: You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote/online jobs
• Safeguarding: Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment

The SEND Tutor and Teacher role and responsibilities:

• Provide in person, online/remote, and hybridMaths, English, or Science tuition to children, teenagers, and young people with SEMH and SEND needs, including MLD, SLD, PMLD, and other Additional Educational Needs
• Support pupils and students, ranging from KS1 - KS5 (as appropriate for your skills), referred by local authorities and schools by planning and delivering flexible, trauma‑informed tutoring and mentoring
• Plan and report for lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress
• We are on a mission to raise the standard of education provided to young people with SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as other needs such as SEMH needs (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). We are increasingly supporting children and young people with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties), SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties), and PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties).
