Job summary

Ravenshall School in Dewsbury is seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join our team and provide cover supervision for absent staff, delivering set work and managing behaviour. You will work closely with ETAs and other support staff across all phases and subjects.

The role includes supporting students in class groups and 1:1 programmes, plus intervention sessions, mentoring and specialist tuition. A strong SEND focus and CPD opportunities are valued.

Qualifications

• Experience in engaging learners with diverse needs and abilities.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration with teaching and support staff.
• Excellent communication with students, colleagues and parents where appropriate.
• Effective questioning techniques to support learning and assessment.

Responsibilities

• Provide cover supervision for absent teaching staff.
• Deliver set work and manage classroom behaviour.
• Work closely with ETAs and other support staff in classrooms.
• Support students in class groups and 1:1 programmes, including intervention sessions.
• Deliver mentoring and specialist tuition as required.
