Job summary

SP Industries in Ipswich, Suffolk, is seeking a Spare Parts Technician to join the team on a full-time basis. You will assemble, test and kit spare parts, including mechanical and electrical sub-systems, and support continuous improvement to maintain high-quality processes.

The role requires strong practical skills, attention to detail and the ability to work with inventory systems. Lean manufacturing exposure and basic health & safety knowledge are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical and electrical assembly skills.
• Attention to quality and detail in all tasks.
• Good communication in English and teamwork for repair and service.
• Experience with lean manufacturing and health & safety is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test mechanical and electrical spare parts and sub-systems.
• Kit spare parts to meet service team requirements.
• Maintain records in line with QMS ISO 9001 standards.
• Assist Kanban management and process improvements as needed.
• Support field service engineers if required.
