Whether you are looking for a long-term maternity cover or a flexible supply contract, this role offers the chance to work in a school that values global communication and academic achievement.

You will be responsible for creating an immersive classroom environment where students feel confident to move from basic greetings to complex tenses, exploring the rich traditions of Spain and Latin America along the way.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • GCSE Mastery: Prepare Year 11 students for their final assessments, with a heavy focus on the AQA/Edexcel specifications and honing oral exam performance.

  • Cultural Immersive: Use authentic resources-such as Spanish news, music, and film-to make the language relevant and exciting for Preston students.

  • Progress Tracking: Provide clear, constructive feedback and use assessment data to identify and support students who need extra help.

  • Classroom Leadership: Maintain a positive and well-managed environment that encourages students to "have a go" at speaking a new language.

  • Linguistic Fluency: High-level proficiency in Spanish, with a strong grasp of grammar, phonetics, and regional variations.

  • Secondary Experience: Proven success teaching Spanish within the UK National Curriculum at KS3 and KS4.

  • Adaptability: The ability to step into a new department and build immediate rapport with students and staff.

  • Compliance: A current Enhanced Child DBS on the update service (or a willingness to obtain one).

  • Great Location: Work in a well-connected city with a diverse educational landscape and excellent transport links.

  • Professional Growth: Gain experience in top-tier MFL departments with the full support of the Randstad team.

  • Referral Bonus: Earn £300 for every fellow teacher you refer to us!
