Job summary

Marchant Recruitment in Preston, Lancashire, is seeking a Spanish Teacher to cover maternity leave from January 2027. The role encompasses teaching across KS3–KS4, with KS5 classes where appropriate, and preparing GCSE pupils for written and speaking assessments.

Qualifications

• QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Strong Spanish language knowledge and the ability to explain grammar clearly.
• Deliver interactive lessons that encourage pupils to communicate confidently.

Responsibilities

• Teach Spanish across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 classes where appropriate.
• Plan lessons that develop listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.
• Teach vocabulary, grammar and sentence structures through clear modelling and regular practice.
• Prepare GCSE pupils for written assessments and speaking examinations.
• Monitor progress and provide feedback that helps pupils improve accuracy and fluency.
• Contribute to departmental planning and language-learning enrichment activities.
