Job summary

A prestigious independent secondary school in Barking is seeking a well-qualified Teacher of Spanish to join their high‑performing MFL faculty. The role covers KS3–KS5, with modern facilities and native-speaking support to inspire passion for Hispanic language and culture.

Ideally you hold QTS or equivalent, with a degree in Spanish or Modern Languages, native or near-native Spanish, and a proven track record of strong GCSE/A‑Level results. Immediate or upcoming term start preferred.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Degree in Spanish, Hispanic Studies, Modern Languages, or related field.
• Native or near-native Spanish; strong command of English.
• Proven track record delivering Spanish across KS3/KS4; KS5 experience a plus.
• Strong knowledge of MFL curricula and exam boards (AQA, Edexcel).
• Excellent classroom management and communication; passion for language learning.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver Spanish lessons across KS3–KS5 with listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
• Prepare pupils for GCSE and A‑Level examinations using target-language teaching.
• Incorporate Hispanic literature, film, culture into the curriculum to enrich learning.
• Assess and track student progress; provide constructive feedback for all learners.
• Support MFL enrichment activities such as language clubs and exchanges.
