Job description

Academics have a Spanish teacher vacancy starting from January 2026 until the end of the academic year, with the possibility of a direct contract from September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is looking to take the next step in their career.

As a Spanish teacher you will be based at one of our diverse secondary schools within the Wakefield area. Previous Ofsted reports have stated that the school provides an outstanding quality of education.

Your role as a Spanish teacher
  • Demonstrating excellent knowledge to students across KS3 and KS4
  • Track student's progression, provide feedback and help them succeed!
  • Engaging with other members of the curriculum by sharing ideas with the MFL team
  • Managing behaviour and controlling the classroom
Requirements for the Spanish teacher role
  • Previous experience teaching Spanish across KS3 and KS4
  • Time management and organisation skills
  • A degree relevant to Spanish
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Right to work in the UK
  • DBS on the update service or willing to apply for one
