Job summary

A leading space technology firm located in Guildford seeks a dynamic Electrical Engineer to support the development of the TRUTHS instrument. The ideal candidate should have several years of experience in mixed signal, analogue, and digital hardware engineering, along with a good track record in managing project schedules and budgets. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative space-based projects with a focus on electronics systems integration.

Qualifications

  • Several years of mixed signal, analogue and digital hardware engineering experience.
  • Good track record with planning and meeting budgets / schedule.
  • Experience in managing and working with sub-contractors.
  • Experience in space based instrumentation highly desirable.
  • Experience in managing complex electronics systems through full life cycle.
  • Experience working to ESA ECSS standards highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Support and perform electrical architecture activities on the TRUTHS instrument.
  • Assist in the review of supplier data packs.
  • Review and assist update of payload specification.
  • Generate and maintain system block diagrams and electrical interfaces.
  • Maintain ICDs, harness definitions, and power budgets.
  • Co-ordinate the development of the instrument control unit known as the Payload Management Control System.
