Job summary

Teledyne e2v in Chelmsford seeks a Product Verification & Test Engineer to lead verification activities across detector, subsystem and system levels. You will define test flows, commission equipment, and train operations staff, ensuring ECSS-compliant testing and robust documentation throughout development and production phases.

You will work closely with project teams and manufacturing to deliver high-quality imaging detectors and sub-systems, supporting qualification campaigns and process

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or related field.
• Experience in spaceflight hardware and AIT for space applications.
• Test planning and scheduling.
• Experience verifying/validating requirements.
• Experience scripting and operating EGSE systems.
• Strong electrical and electronics background.
• Knowledge of environmental testing of subsystems for space.
• Experience fault finding.
• Experience in lifecycle and requirements management.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project teams to deliver tested and verified systems.
• Develop test plans flowing down from system requirements.
• Plan and perform functional, electrical, mechanical, and environmental tests.
• Create and maintain test procedures and reports.
• Train Operations staff as needed.
• Present at design, test and project reviews.
• Define requirements for test equipment (GSE).
• Commission test equipment (OGSE, EGSE, MGSE) and script tests.
• Perform detector, subsystem and system verification testing.
• Support space qualification test campaigns.
• Contribute to process improvements.
