Job description

Are you detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about contributing to one of the UK's most ambitious water infrastructure projects? The Strategic Pipeline Alliance (SPA) is searching for a Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager to support and enhance our project delivery team.

Responsibilities

• Implement the SPA HSW Strategy aligned to AWS Safer Every Day & Capital Delivery Strategy.
• Manage the HSW resources and team structure to deliver the SPA HSW Strategy.
• Lead the deployment of HSW Advisors to align with operational needs and support implementation of standards.
• Collect, collate, and locally analyse HSW performance data to provide actionable insight to frontline SPA teams.
• Coordinate and manage HSW/SHE programmes, from concept to embedding, throughout SPA.
• Lead HSW meetings for team and operations to ensure engagement and leadership.
• Manage incident response processes, including escalation, investigation, and lessons learned.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent level qualification.
• Working knowledge of HSW legislation within the construction/infrastructure industry.
• Experience in an operational health and safety role within infrastructure, utilities, or construction.
• Experience managing people, with the ability to coach, mentor, and provide performance feedback.
• Ability to adopt and implement a positive team culture that encourages collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Comprehensive verbal and written communication ability.
