Job summary

Targetjobs UK is seeking a Graduate Planner in Peterborough (Hybrid) to support programme planning for a major potable water transfer project. You will work with engineers, project managers and commercial teams to coordinate milestones and deliver detailed programmes.

The role offers exposure to infrastructure delivery, structured training, and the chance to gain real project experience from day one within a growing Strategic Pipeline Alliance team.

Qualifications

• A 2:2 degree or above in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline
• A genuine interest in project controls, scheduling, or infrastructure delivery
• Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills
• A proactive, detail-driven approach and a willingness to learn
• Full UK driving licence (or working towards it)

Responsibilities

• Assist in the creation and maintenance of detailed project programmes using planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project)
• Monitor project progress and help identify risks, delays, or opportunities for improvement
• Work alongside engineers, project managers, and commercial teams to coordinate key milestones
• Support the production of reports, dashboards, and lookahead schedules
• Attend project meetings and contribute to short- and long-term planning activities
• Help ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to high-quality standards

We are looking for a motivated Graduate Planner to support programme planning for delivering Infrastructure and Non-Infrastructure elements of our major potable water transfer project.
