A healthcare organization in Aberdeen City is seeking an enthusiastic pharmacy technician to join their primary care team. The position involves supporting the pharmacotherapy service, conducting medication reviews, and providing management advice. Applicants must be GPhC registered and have excellent communication skills. This position offers both full and part-time opportunities with a minimum of 22.2 hours per week.
Hours: 59.2 hours available in total (full and part time positions available)
We are looking for an enthusiastic, GPhC registered pharmacy technician to join the growing primary care pharmacotherapy team working within Aberdeen City Health and Social Care Partnership (ACHSCP).
You will be working alongside pharmacy colleagues to support delivery of the pharmacotherapy service outlined in the 2018 GMS Contract for Scotland. The role will include activities such as medication compliance reviews, dealing with pharmaceutical queries (e.g. shortages), medicines reconciliation and medication management advice for patients and carers.
You will also work on various aspects of medicines management to ensure safe and effective use of medicines in line with local and national guidelines, including formulary adherence and review of prescribing data.
You may have a primary care, community or hospital pharmacy background, but you must be registered with the GPhC. Good communication, interpersonal and time management skills are essential. Full driving licence and use of a car is essential.
Full time and part time hours available. Full time hours are currently 37 hours per week (reducing to 36 hours per week from 1 April 2026). Part time would be a minimum of 3 days (22.2 hours) per week currently (this would reduce to 21.6 hours her week from 1 April 2026).
