Job summary

Ardagh Metal Packaging in Rugby is seeking a Team Leader to oversee the plant warehouse operations, coordinating daily activities and ensuring on-time, in-full delivery to customers and warehouses.

You will manage resources, resolve transport issues, monitor stock movements, and drive continuous improvement in 6S and safety standards, with strong leadership in a fast-moving logistics environment. Out of hours shifts may be required; SAP knowledge is an advantage.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of logistics or supply chain experience.
• Strong leadership / line management experience in a fast-moving logistics environment.
• Working knowledge of SAP is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead the plant warehouse team
• Manage the day-to-day workload of warehouse team
• Ensure site values with regards to Health & Safety, Quality and customer service are top priority
• Drive the execution of continued improvement; 6S, housekeeping, food safety standards
• Deal with day-to-day escalations and queries from internal and external departments
• Ensure logistics principles are implemented; ie FIFO, OTIF
• Ensure the execution of key internal controls within the area of responsibility – Ecovadis.

Job description

The Rugby Plant’s role does not end when the final can comes off the production line. Once manufactured, products must be safely stored, managed, and distributed to customers and warehouses across the country. The Team Leader plays a vital role in ensuring this process runs smoothly by overseeing the busy logistics operation and coordinating daily activities within the area.

This position requires effective management of resources and workloads to ensure customer demands are met on time and in full. The Team Leader works closely with transport providers to resolve delivery issues, monitors stock levels and inventory movements, and responds promptly to any logistics-related queries. In addition, the role involves regular communication and collaboration with multiple departments across the site, helping to maintain efficient operations and continuous product flow. By coordinating these activities, the Team Leader helps ensure that Rugby Plant delivers excellent service, supports operational performance, and meets business objectives efficiently and safely.

Out of hours shift may be required on an ad hoc basis.
