Job summary

AVEVA is seeking an experienced IT SOX Specialist to strengthen IT controls and manage transition of SOX processes towards Riskonnect. The role supports an IT SOX framework across IT operations and development lifecycles, with a focus on ensuring evidence quality and audit readiness.

The successful candidate will lead control design, testing, and documentation, and coach IT teams to sustain control ownership. Hybrid London/Cambridge role with 50% office presence.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience working with SOX ITGCs and supporting SOX audits.
• Experience embedding controls into IT processes and coaching IT teams.
• Strong documentation and control design skills; ability to produce clear evidence.

Responsibilities

• IT SOX implementation & control uplift.
• Transition to BAU SOX Assurance; assess current controls and gap analysis.
• Test ITGCs and supporting procedures across IT domains.
• Create/refresh control documentation (narratives, flowcharts, RCMs, procedures).
• Upskill and transfer knowledge to BAU teams via workshops and playbooks.
• Coach control owners through deliverables like walkthroughs and evidence collection.
• Establish sustainable routines: cadence, peer reviews, audit readiness checkpoints.
• Enable Riskonnect rollout: manage control library, mappings, testing workflows, reporting.
