A leading renewable energy company is seeking an SOV Manager in Tendring, UK. The role involves managing offshore wind turbine servicing and communicating effectively with various teams. Fleet Servicing is an established team within the Offshore Operations Fleet Management & Support team that is responsible for the annual servicing of Wind Turbines at Nordsee-Ost, Kaskasi, Greater Gabbard and London Array from an SOV along with supporting HV operations and troubleshooting over the winter months as required.
The SOV Manager will report to the Fleet Servicing Operations Manager and has primary responsibility for the day to day management of the Fleet Servicing SOV and the associated vessel‑based resources to safely and efficiently deliver WTG scheduled service at Nordsee-Ost, Kaskasi, Greater Gabbard and London Array during the summer period and trouble shooting in the winter months. The role includes management of the resource’s resident on the SOV and will be supported by a Works Coordinator and Senior Technician who will deputise for the lead during the overnight operations. The SOV Manager will work with the wider Fleet Servicing shore based team to ensure that the team business objectives are identified, prioritised and supported.
The SOV sails every 14 days from ports in the UK and Germany, significant travel and UK working permits / visas will required for this role.
There will be an expectation to travel to sites outside of your base location (including Europe/Overseas) which may involve overnight stays. As travel will depart from various UK sites, you may be based anywhere in the UK, provided you can reach the port in time for travel days.
