Global Veterinary Careers is representing a well-established small animal practice in South Birmingham, seeking a Veterinary Surgeon for a 4-day week. The role offers 40 hours across four days, with no out-of-hours work and one in three Saturday mornings.

Salary is £65,000–£70,000 depending on experience, with up to 33 days holiday, relocation package and visa fees covered where applicable, and RCVS/VDS fees paid.

Veterinary Surgeon - No OOH, 4-Day Week - South Birmingham - £65,000-£70,000

About the practice

• Established first-opinion small animal practice in a pleasant semi-rural setting.
• Just off the M42, with easy access to Birmingham, Solihull and the countryside.
• Kit includes:
  • digital X-ray
  • dental X-ray
  • ultrasound
  • in-house lab
  • access to CT at a nearby sister hospital
• Strongly focused on development, with support for whatever CPD interests you.
• Long-running partnership with a national cat welfare charity The team examines cats at the charity's centre each week and then treats and operates on them at the practice.

About the role

• 40 hours across 4 days.
• 1 in 3 Saturday mornings.
• No OOH and minimal bank holidays.
• Typically one operating shift and three consulting shifts a week.
• Part-time and flexible patterns considered.
