Overview

Sous Chef - A role with Variety £33,000 plus bonus

We are on the lookout for a positive, hands-on person to join our catering team and help us deliver great food and fantastic service across a range of exciting events. From busy race days and conferences to our clubhouse, cafés, restaurants, and private hospitality, no two days are ever the same!

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Take part in weekly team and event planning meetings.
  • Keep an eye on food production and waste levels to make sure we are working efficiently.
  • Make sure food safety and allergen information is always accurate and up to date.
  • Follow all opening, closing, and cleaning procedures.
  • Keep your work area clean, tidy, and organised.
  • Be proactive — spot what needs doing and help make it happen.
In the Kitchen
  • Prepare and present food to the company's high standards.
  • Follow menus and production plans as set by the senior chefs.
  • Stick to all food safety, health, and hygiene procedures.
  • Help manage stock and storage correctly.
  • Lend a hand to the front-of-house team during service when needed.
Working with the Team
  • Keep good communication flowing between the kitchen, front of house, and other departments.
  • Work with the stores and kitchen teams to move food safely and efficiently around the site.
  • Step up to run the kitchen when the senior chef isn't available.
  • Complete daily food safety and hygiene checks.
  • Make sure the service team has all the allergen information and menu details before service.
