Responsibilities of a Sous chef
  • Assist the Head Chef in the daily running of the kitchen, ensuring smooth, efficient service
  • Prepare and cook fresh, seasonal dishes to high standards
  • Support menu planning, stock control, and ordering
  • Lead and motivate the kitchen team in the Head Chef’s absence
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and allergen regulations
  • Help deliver special functions and school events when required
About you
  • Proven experience as aSous Chef
  • Background involume catering, banqueting, education, or contract cateringpreferred
  • Passion for fresh, healthy, and balanced cooking
  • Excellent organisation and leadership skills
  • Strong knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety practices
  • A positive attitude and team-focused mindset
