Loungers is hiring a full-time Sous Chef for Croeso Lounge, a brand-new site in the group. You will lead kitchen shifts, support the Head Chef, and uphold high standards from prep to plate.

This role offers a 48-hour contract (with a 40-hour option), overtime, and a clear path for progression within a growing hospitality brand. You’ll be eligible for a bonus scheme, tips, staff meals, and development programs.

Qualifications

• Experience as Sous Chef or Junior Sous Chef or Chef de Partie for next step.
• Passion for real cooking and fresh ingredients.
• Ability to lead and coach kitchen staff.
• Commitment to high standards of cleanliness and safety.
• Reliable with good time management.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen shifts from prep through to final plate.
• Support Head Chef and cover in their absence.
• Set tone for high standards on the pass; monitor quality, pace and hygiene.
• Oversee prep, par, stock, waste, orders and shift handovers.
• Coach and develop the kitchen team to improve skills.

We're hiring a full-time Sous Chef to be part of the kitchen team atCroeso Lounge, a local café bar. Part of Loungers, proudly named Casual Dining Group of the Year 2026. What you’ll Do

• Lead kitchen shifts with confidence, keeping service smooth, organised and on spec from prep through to the final plate
• Be the Head Chef’s right hand - supporting day-to-day operations, stepping up in their absence, and helping the kitchen deliver consistently strong results
• Set the tone for high standards on the pass, with a sharp eye for food quality, pace, cleanliness, hygiene and safety
• Take ownership of key kitchen routines including prep and par, stock control, waste, orders and effective shift handovers
• Coach and support the team around you, helping new and existing chefs build confidence, grow their skills and deliver great food every shift
