Job description

As Sous‑Chef, your duties will include recruiting and training new employees, adhering to allergy procedures and food preferences, as well as working with the Executive and Head Chef on developing new menu options. Working alongside the Head Chef, you will be the driving force behind the food offering, ensuring it is seasonal, relevant and appealing to our members and guests. You will have an in-depth health and safety knowledge, ensuring that standards are kept in line with HACCP.

  • Flexible and available to work both opening and closing shifts when required
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects by hand
  • Able to work on your feet for at least 8 hours
  • Occasionally kneel, bend, crouch and climb as required

Location & Working Hours

Soho House Manchester is located in the St. John’s area in the heart of the city. The venue spans across five floors of the former Granada Studios and offers extensive facilities including a gym, steam room, sauna, outdoor rooftop pool, bar, late‑night bar and live music space. There are casual lounge areas for food and drink on the 8th floor and a members’ restaurant for more formal dining. The house also includes 23 bedrooms on the 6th floor.
