A well-established restaurant in West Sussex is seeking a Sous Chef to join their team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in restaurants or gastro pubs, excellent communication, and a passion for innovative dishes using fresh, locally sourced ingredients. This full-time role offers a salary up to £40,000 with additional tips, flexible scheduling, and opportunities for training and development.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience in restaurants or gastro pubs.
  • A passion for creating innovative dishes from fresh, locally sourced produce.
  • Experience as a Senior Chef de Partie, Junior Sous Chef, or Kitchen Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure cleanliness and high standards in the kitchen.
  • Run the kitchen in collaboration with the Head Chef.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of your section.
  • Contribute to menu development and daily specials.
  • Lead the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence.
