Job description

We’re looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join our friendly catering team at Leighton House, Westbury, supporting Defence catering operations. You’ll be part of a small, dedicated team delivering high‑quality meals that make a real difference every day.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and serve high‑quality meals.
• Support the Head Chef with daily operations and menu planning.
• Contribute creative ideas for new menus and dishes.
• Maintain kitchen hygiene and food safety standards.
• Monitor stock levels and ensure smooth service across both messes.
• Provide guidance and motivation to junior team members; computer literate with good organisational skills.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar kitchen role (Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie).
• City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent.
• Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Passion for great food and excellent service.
• Flexible, team‑focused approach.
