Job summary

Prezzo Ltd is hiring a Sous Chef to be second-in-command in the kitchen, assisting the Head Chef and General Manager to run a busy Italian kitchen. You will lead the team, drive food quality and standards, manage rota and stock, and help control costs to ensure a smooth, profitable operation.

You will work closely with the Head Chef to deliver consistently excellent dishes, great guest experiences and a supportive, engaging kitchen culture.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Sous Chef or strong Chef looking to step up in a busy, fast-paced kitchen.
• Commercial know-how: stock, waste, labour and kitchen costs to support an efficient operation.
• Great standards: food quality, cleanliness and food safety/HACCP.
• People skills: positive, hands-on leader who coaches and builds a strong kitchen team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the Head Chef and kitchen team to deliver consistent, high-quality Italian dishes.
• Manage shifts, roster planning and rota for a healthy work/life balance in the kitchen.
• Monitor stock, waste and costs to safeguard kitchen profitability and efficiency.

As Sous Chef, you'll be number two in the kitchen, supporting your Head Chef, leading the team and deputising for the Head Chef as needed. • Earn £13.91-£14.94 per hour, plus tronc.
