Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous Chef.
• Experience in a busy pub or casual dining kitchen.
• Strong knowledge of classic British pub food and seasonal cooking.

Job description

As Sous Chef, you will play a key role in the daily running of the kitchen alongside our Head Chef.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen management and food preparation
• Ensure consistent high standards of food presentation and quality
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant kitchen environment (adhering to food hygiene and health & safety regulations)
• Manage stock control, ordering, and minimizing waste

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous Chef ready for the next step
• Experience working in a busy pub, gastropub, or casual dining kitchen
• Strong knowledge of classic British pub food and seasonal cooking
• A positive leader who can motivate and inspire a team
• Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a high standard during busy services
• Level 2 or 3 Food Hygiene certification
• Passion for delivering great food and creating a great customer experience
