Responsibilities
- Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day operation of Casa's kitchen
- Lead and motivate the kitchen brigade, ensuring consistently high standards of food quality and presentation
- Assist with menu development, seasonal specials and cost-effective menu planning
- Manage food ordering, stock control and supplier relationships
- Ensure all deliveries are checked, stored and rotated correctly in line with company procedures
- Maintain exceptional standards of food safety, hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
- Work closely with the Restaurant Manager to ensure a seamless guest experience
- Drive efficiency and minimise waste while maintaining quality standards
- Train, coach and develop team members to help them reach their full potential
- Lead by example during service, creating a positive and productive working environment
Qualifications
- Professional Chef qualifications to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
- A strong understanding of menu planning, food costing and kitchen profitability
- Comprehensive knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards
- Experience working in a high-volume, quality-focused restaurant, hotel or hospitality environment
- Experience leading and developing a kitchen team of five or more colleagues
- A proven ability to deliver consistently high standards during busy service periods
- Food Hygiene Level 2 certification (or above)
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to thrive under pressure
- A passion for fresh food, great presentation and delivering exceptional guest experiences
- A positive, hands‑on leadership style with a commitment to developing others
