Job summary

McMullen & Sons Ltd in Hemel Hempstead is seeking a talented chef to join our busy kitchen and help deliver the food concept to company standards.

You will support the Head Chef, deputise in their absence, train the kitchen team, manage stock, and ensure Food Safety and Health & Safety compliance. We offer a 45-hour week, a competitive salary up to £33,002, an achievable bonus scheme, and extensive training through McMullen's GROW Programme.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of working within a busy kitchen is essential.
• Keen to develop, willing to take on responsibility and remain calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Delivering the food concept to company standard and exceeding guest expectations.
• All aspects of food stock control including ordering, deliveries, stock taking and control of wastage.
• Supporting the Head Chef in the smooth running of the kitchen and deputising in their absence.
• Training and developing the kitchen team so that they can reach their potential.
